Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 1, 2026 · Last Updated: April 1, 2026
Summary: PB Blockchain collects minimal data. Wallet names are public on-chain. Passwords are stored as hashed values only. Health data is anonymized by design — no PII ever stored. We don't sell your data.
1. What We Collect
| Data Type | What It Is | Why We Collect It | How Long Kept |
| Wallet Name | Your chosen identifier | Network identity | Permanent (on-chain) |
| Password Hash | SHA3-256 hash of your password — NOT your actual password | Authentication | Until account deleted |
| Transaction History | PBC sent/received amounts and wallet names | Blockchain integrity | Permanent (on-chain) |
| Verification Claims | Text submitted to Proof of Truth | Verification + chain record | Permanent (on-chain) |
| Support Emails | Name, email, message | Customer support | 2 years |
| Whitelist Data | Name, email, commitment amount | Token sale administration | Until sale completes |
| Server Logs | IP addresses, request timestamps | Security and rate limiting | 30 days |
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- Your actual password — only a one-way hash is stored
- Personal health information — the NOVA node processes anonymized biometric patterns only; raw health data is never stored
- Location data — sensor coordinates are optional and only used for cross-validation
- Government ID or financial information
- Browser cookies for tracking — we use session storage only for wallet login state
3. Blockchain Data is Public and Permanent
Important: All transactions and verified claims written to the PB Blockchain are permanent and publicly visible. This includes:
- Wallet names and their PBC balances
- Transaction amounts and timestamps
- Proof of Truth verdicts and proof hashes
- Knowledge Vault timestamps (not content — content is encrypted)
Once data is written to the blockchain, it cannot be deleted or modified. Choose your wallet name carefully — it will be permanently associated with your transaction history.
4. Health Data — Special Protections
The NOVA node accepts anonymized biometric contributions for population health modeling. We apply strict protections:
- Only statistical patterns and validity scores are stored — never raw readings tied to an individual
- Zero-knowledge proofs are used so health contribution is verified without revealing the data
- No name, email, device ID, or location is linked to health data submissions
- Health data contributions are voluntary and anonymous
5. How We Use Your Data
- To operate and improve the PB Blockchain network
- To authenticate wallet access and authorize transactions
- To respond to support requests
- To administer the token sale whitelist
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
6. Data Security
- Passwords are hashed with SHA3-256 — we cannot recover your actual password
- All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Servers are hosted on DigitalOcean with industry-standard security
- Rate limiting protects against brute force attacks
- Admin access is password-protected
7. Third-Party Services
PB Blockchain uses the following third-party services that may process data:
- DigitalOcean — server hosting (San Francisco, USA)
- IONOS/Sectigo — SSL certificate provider
- Open-Meteo — weather API for carbon verification (no personal data sent)
- Anthropic Claude API — AI fact-checking (claims submitted for verification are sent; no wallet data is sent)
- DuckDuckGo — web search for Stage 3 verification (claims only, no personal data)
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your stored data (email whitepaper@pbblockchain.com)
- Correction — correct inaccurate off-chain data (on-chain data cannot be changed)
- Deletion — request deletion of off-chain data (wallet password, support tickets, whitelist entry)
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Note: Blockchain data (transactions, verdicts, vault timestamps) is permanent by design and cannot be deleted.
9. Children's Privacy
PB Blockchain is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
